  • Do you read Japanese Manga and Light Novels?

A few years ago, I was only interested in watching anime series/movies and didn't really bother with manga and light novels. I mean, i prefer to watch anime because they actually "move" compared to drawings that are static. My first manga was "Absolute Boyfriend", yes it's not really a manga for guys but for girls. It was recommended to me by an acquaintance (girl acquaintance ) and i thought I'd get bored by reading it. The thing about reading it from right to left was hard at first because I was used to reading things from left to right. After a while I got used to it and by then I was completely immersed in the story. After finishing it, I then went ahead and read some of the popular manga titles like One Piece, Naruto and Bleach. Afterwards, I tried reading some Light Novels like Sevens and Arifureta. Since then I became an avid reader of manga and light novels. How about you guys?

I used to like doujin hehe but I stopped because it doesn't have color. I'm deleting my files on my phone and magazines I bought a long time ago because it creeps her out. haha

As of right now, most of the manga's I am reading were Shoujos and partly continuations of the shounens that didn't get to be in the anime (I am very impatient). My current list includes Shokugeki no Souma, Masamune-kun no Revenge, Haikyuu! and Kuro****suji. I don't usually read shounens in manga form because, as you said they don't move and my imagination don't usually coincide with the anime once it was produce so I avoid it. Funny enough, most of the webtoons I'm reading can be categorize as shounen though, but I read it because it's colored.
