This is something that I find rather odd with respect to working here but I was often asked to do is to wear white either at work or interview. Japanese see wearing white as being trust worthy and they often request their employees to wear it especially for office and sales settings. It used to annoy me before since you have to wear white all the time but now. It makes deciding which to wear easier!
