  • Sumo Wrestling-Initiation at its finest

In Japan, junior (younger ones) sumo wrestlers are expected to bathe and clean their senior (veterans) sumo wrestlers in a certain wrestling stables (Yes, even those places and the hard to reach ones). Is there anyone interested in joining? Honestly, I find that a little bit disturbing but whatever floats in their boat.

LOL, I also can't find other articles to support that but now that you mentioned it, it makes it now more interesting to learn if there really is such practice for junior sumo wrestlers in training. Sumo wrestling is a traditional Japanese sport that's even linked to Shinto Belief, one of Japan's religion I believe. It would be nice is to see them in training though. They have what they call butsukari-geiko where they throw each others bodies as part of their training. I haven't seen anything like that and can you just imagine how would it be? They're huge people! I think that would be awesome being there just to see them train.
