It's a little over a month until cherry blossoms start showing up around Japan. What's your favorite place around Tokyo to see them? I was always fond of a picnic in Yoyogi Park when I lived there and felt it provided a lot of beautiful spots to sit under the trees.

I think Yoyogi park is one of the largest parks in Tokyo and they do have sakura trees there. You know I'm always confused about what month do the sakura trees in Japan start to blossom. Websites on the internet show it starts in late May. When we were in Osaka prefecture in April, the cherry blossoms are already starting to fade. So now I don't know what's the real best month to be there in Japan if you want to witness the cherry blossoms. I think the other good park to go to during the season of sakura trees is the Ueno park. I've never been there before though. Does anyone know how good that park is?
