In Jun 2019, I went to Yoyogi park at Shibuya. It was the biggest event for Vietnamese people annually. I had heard about the Yoyogi park before but that was the first time I come to that place. It was so big like any post I have seen before but due to this reason, I can not walk for the whole place. I even spent a day but in a position that "I have to go the end, I have to see everything". I think some of you might have this similar thought because we go travel to a new place and we are probably don't wanna miss anything interesting here. However, on this trip to Yoyogi park, I did not enjoy and relax entirely because of this though.
Yoyogi Park is a beautiful place, but if you don't wanna waste time just walking around you should go to Google, find some spots that you really like. It would be a place near the lake or you wanna see some flowers first? Yoyogi is extremely big and the gates are quite far from each other so my advice is you watch the Google Map carefully and find the gate near the station and the spots you wanna go.
After the trip going to Yoyogi, I had a chance to go to a very LOWKEY and very locally park in Saitama prefecture. I would like to spend a whole new post about this interesting park and explain why I think a local park better than Yoyogi.
If you think smaller is a minus point, I think it is definitely an advantage. Because I know that I can chilly walk, enjoy, play around or even take a look into a temple and adventure this whole place.
Yoyogi park might be a very famous place that many agents advise you to come. But from my real experience, I would advise finding so local park in many places around and remember that Japan is not only Tokyo and you have to travel all of Tokyo.
This is just my opinion about choosing parks. How about you? Do you have any recommendations?
Thank you
