Same here! I grew up being in love with Japan. From that time a neighbor gave us a box of those huge rabbit cookies some almost 30 years ago until now. I had plans to go there 10 years ago with my colleagues but plane tickets to Singapore and Hongkong were cheaper so we ended up going to HK instead. There are 3 countries that I'd love to visit in Asia because I'm in love with their culture. Japan is one, the other 2 are South Korea and Thailand. We have plenty of restaurants showcasing their cuisine from where I live so when the craving for sushi creeps in, I'd be eating in one of my fave Japanese restaurants even if I'm alone.
Other than sushi, I love ramen, too especially the spicy kind. And I've been dying to go to Japan to binge on authentic ramen for the longest time. Welcome to the forum and thanks for all the thoughts you've shared so far.
