Why are we Starting up this Forum Now?

We wanted to start discussions not only about the 2020 Olympics, but also about Japan. We hope that people who are planning trips to Japan soon, or just have an interest in Japan will contribute and gain some benefit through the forum. So for the moment, the focus will be more about Japan itself, but as time goes on discussions on the Games will only increase.
I know that even now (2016) there are people making inquiries about booking accommodation for the Tokyo2020 Olympics, so the forum is a good place to throw those questions out to the community.
